I came up with the idea because a pattern I had created by chance on a piece of paper looked a bit like a snail, and I wrote a passage from ``Dark Night Journey'' with the image of a snail moving slowly and steadily forward.

The structure of the scattered sentences is shaped like a staircase, with the image of a step-by-step process based on the meaning of the words.
