Japanese Kana Calligrapher based in Nara.

Rooted in the aesthetics of classical kana calligraphy, his work explores contemporary expressions through the lines of letters, negative space, and the textures of paper and materials.

Rather than treating calligraphy simply as written language, he considers the surrounding space and the atmosphere it creates as part of the work, presenting his practice through solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and site-specific works and installations.
